1 September – The first day in Szolnok
On the 1st of September, a Saturday, I explored Szolnok together with my mum and looked where to find things. We went for a coffee and did some shopping at a Spar.
2 September – Day 2
On the second day, 2 September, we bought the things we were missing, had a coffee and then met up with Roland at the youth centre to discuss a few more organisational matters.
And in the early evening around 16:40 my mum took her train back home.

3 September – Day 3
On Tuesday the 3rd of September we discussed some more organisational things and I got to know my mentors, who are my contacts that I can always turn to and confide in.
4 September – Day 4
On 4 September, Roland showed me exactly where to find what at the youth centre.
Afterwards we played games so that I can play them with the children and young people in the future.
5 September – Day 5
On this day I had my first mentoring session, during these sessions I meet with my mentors and talk to them about how I am feeling and how I am coping.
6 September – Day 6
This Friday was the start of the Gulyásfesztivál in Szolnok which went on until Sunday.
Roland and I went there together. We drank Hungarian beer, watched the bands playing there (including metal and hard rock) and I tried lántos, a typical Hungarian dish.
And in the morning of the Friday I had my first Hungarian lesson.

7 September – Day 7
I went to the Gulyásfesztivál again, this time alone because Roland had to pack. He and Istvan have gone to Italy for a week to make contact with other organisations.
At the festival I listened to the music again and ate lepcsánka, another typical Hungarian dish. This dish has similarities to potato pancakes.
8 September – Day 8
On the Sunday I went to LIDL to do some shopping for groceries.
