A Week of Presentations, Challenges, and Festivities

2nd December – Day 84
On December 2nd, we held the presentation I mentioned in last week’s blog. It took place at a school near our apartment at 11 o’clock. Roland and Rebeka joined the Georgian volunteers and me. Roli took pictures while Rebeka managed the PowerPoint slideshow on my laptop.

3rd December – Day 85
I visited an ear doctor that day because I couldn’t hear out of my right ear.
For the Georgian volunteers, Tuesday was a similar day to Monday. However, I couldn’t participate due to my doctor’s appointment. Richárd filled in for me, sharing his experience as a two-month volunteer in Slovenia and replacing my part of the presentation.

4th December – Day 86
On Wednesday, we returned to the same school for another the presentation. This time, Richárd joined us again, and his segment remained part of the presentation.

5th December – Day 87
Thursday was a day off. I used the time to translate my section of the presentation into my native language, German. I also added a new part about Germany, including information about Berlin and Cologne.

6th December – Day 88
On Friday, Richárd and I revisited the same school but presented in a different classroom to a German class. I delivered my presentation entirely in German, which I had prepared the day before.
Meanwhile, the Georgian volunteers were scheduled to visit the autism center in Szolnok as Christmas goblins. Our supervisor, István (also known as Pisti), took on the role of Santa Claus. Unfortunately, two volunteers fell ill and had to see a doctor, disrupting their plans.

7th December – Day 89
Saturday was a free day, but in the evening, we attended a Christmas party at the youth center.

8th December – Day 90
Sunday was another relaxing day off.
